Last Minute Revision
The O level and A level exams are almost here. Most students are in a panic, rushing to cram notes and practice papers. If you have been preparing steadily throughout the year then all you need to do now is keep calm and skim through your notes. Focus on having a clear and level head while sharpening your question answering skills.
In case you have not been working steadily throughout the year we have the following pointers for you:
-Make mind maps on every topic you can. Summarize the main ideas using the mind mapping skills we have taught you. Studying straight from these mind maps will be easier as you have less text to get through
-Go through your old mistakes. Run through every single old exam or test paper you have and practice difficult questions that you have made mistakes in. Understand your mistakes and learn to avoid them.
-Use your teachers. Your teachers are your best resources. They know what you are weakest at and if you cannot figure something out, go to them. You have very little time to lose now and addressing your queries as soon as possible can only benefit you.
-Study according to your learning style. If you are auditory then read your notes out to you. If you are kinesthatic, walk around your house repeating your facts. Go through your notes from your program with us in case you have forgotten your learning style.
-Relax. Instead of panicking, break down your work into managable sections. Allocate less time for easy topics where you just need to practice and focus on zooming into problem areas. Study smart not just hard.
-Use your ten year series. At this point there is no use trying to memorize thick chunks of notes. Instead you should dive straight into your ten year series and attempt as many questions as you can. Once you are stuck, resolve your issue right away before continueing.
Remember to sleep early the night before a paper and eat well and healthily.
Good luck!
